The 'Eastern comfort' hostel is on a boat, moored between two very lively districts near the centre of town, and welcomes you aboard in this uniquely modern and luxurious atmosphere. Through the portholes of our 2nd class single, triple or quadruple, but mainly double cabins, you can see and hear the rippling of the River Spree. All cabins have their own toilet and shower.
For those of you who enjoy your special comforts, we offer 1st class single and double cabins.
For the colder period of the year, the boat is equipped wih a central heating system in every cabin, ...

We offer

The ship is located in the eastern part of the city, right on the border between the very lively districts of Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain. It is docked directly beside the last standing piece of the the wall which divided Berlin until 1989, just next to one of the most stunning old bridges crossing the River Spree.

You can chill out with a German beer, a drink or a light snack, after an eventful day's sightseeing, either in our lounge or on the spacious upper sun deck. We also offer traditional German food.

25 cabins in 3 categories on 3 decks. Cabins with one to six beds mostly with own bath/toilet.
8 x 'First Category': spacious rooms with 2 large windows, huge beds and private bathroom on twin deck. Bed linen and towels included.
10 x 'Second Category': double bed cabin (also for single, twin or triple use) with a private bathroom and scuttle, on the lower deck. Bring your own bed linen and towels or hire these for EUR 5.
6 x 'Second Category': quadruple cabin with 2 bunk beds, bath with shower and scuttle, on the lower deck.Bring your own bed linen and towels or hire these for EUR 5.
1 x 6 bedded room with 2 bunk beds on the upper deck, with a shower room in the corridor. Bring your own bed linen and towels or hire these for EUR 5.

The boat is moored between the beautiful Oberbaumbrücke bridge and the 'Eastside Gallery', the longest existing part of the Berlin Wall. The Wall is only 10 metres away. Only a few years ago, anyone stepping into this area would have met with a sad fate. When you enter the boat, you cross the former border gate where guards and barbed-wire fences once stood. Today, this area is visited by tourists from all over the world.
The two districts of Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain with their countless bars, restaurants, clubs and cafes are just around the corner,

The Hostelboat 'Eastern Comfort' is moored directly on the river Spree, between the lively districts of Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain in the heart of Berlin. We offer 3 categories - one for every favour.
The boat is opened all the year round and equipped with central heating. Our friendly crew answer your questions. Deck area is accessible for everybody. On the upper deck beverages and snacks are served, while music creates a sociable atmosphere.
In summer time we provide deck chairs, in winter time a fireside and every time the best view you get in Berlin.

You may bring your bedding with you or hire it from us at a small charge. We also provide a breakfast buffet for a minimal charge.

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: Children cannot be accommodated at the hotel.
