Beaumont House - Guest accommodation - Hotel information

An ideal base for both the business traveller visiting Cheltenham and Gloucester and for the leisure traveller exploring the Cotswolds. In addition, Bath, Oxford, Worcester and Stratford-upon-Avon are all easy day trips.

Beaumont House was built in the 1850s Regency period as a private house/villa. It was converted to a hotel in the 1980s. It is set in beautiful gardens, where drinks may be enjoyed on summer evenings. Our comfortable lounge is the perfect place to relax with a good novel, enjoy either a complimentary cappuccino, or a drink from our Trust Bar (sorry, not complimentary!), before going out for dinner.

There are excellent restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.

Beaumont House - Guest accommodation - Room information

Newly opened in February 2007 is the Prestbury Suite. This consists of the Luxury Single and the Luxury Superking / Twin En Suite, with whirlpool and bathroom TV.

The suite has a private lobby giving access to the 2 rooms that make up the suite. To book the Prestbury Suite online, please select both these room choices for the dates that you require. As both rooms can be booked individually, one or both may not be available for your selected dates.

Beaumont House - Guest accommodation - Food & beverage

A full English breakfast is served between 07:30 and 09:00 on weekdays, between 08:00 and 09:30 on Saturdays and from 08:30 until 10:00 on Sundays. A substantial continental breakfast is served on the 25th and 26th December and the 1st of January.

Beaumont House - Guest accommodation - Travel information

The hotel is situated on the a46 Shurdington Road, which is the extension of Bath Road. From Oxford on the a40, look for the sign of the a46 Stroud & Shurdington. At the roundabout in Bath Road, take the right hand road at the Norwood Arms Pub. The hotel is 200 yards on the left after the pub, before the traffic lights. From the m5, take exit 11 and follow signs to Cheltenham. At the first roundabout (Golden Valley) exit roundabout at 2 o'clock towards Shurdington. Go over several little roundabouts, always following the signs to Shurdington. Ignore all signs for Cheltenham. Eventually on a straight road, you will go past Morrisons supermarket on your left. On the next T- junction/roundabout follow the sign to Cheltenham. After one mile, and passing through pedestrian lights, you will reach traffic lights at a crossroad junction, go straight over and the hotel is the fourth property on your right.

Beaumont House - Guest accommodation - Important information

Payment Information:
For bookings of 4 rooms or more, Beaumont House will charge your credit card with a 25% non-refundable deposit. This will be done either at the time of booking or 6 weeks before arrival, as appropriate.

For bookings coinciding with race meetings, 100% (non-refundable) will be charged at the time of booking.

Additional Cancellation Policy Information:
The 48-hour cancellation policy is based on being advised before 12:00 (noon), 2 days before arrival. Otherwise the appropriate cancellation charges will apply (see cancellation policy section for details). All cancellations must be processed online, not direct with Beaumont House.

Should guests shorten their booking after arrival (e.g. leave after 2 nights having booked for 3), the standard 48-hour cancellation policy will still apply.

Over the Christmas and New Year period, a 21-day cancellation policy applies, with the 1st night being charged 21 days before arrival. If in doubt, please contact Beaumont House for clarification, using the contact information provided on your booking confirmation email.

Minimum Stay:
On certain days (Saturdays) and at certain times (festivals and events), a minimum stay policy applies. For example, if you book for the 2 nights Friday and Saturday, and later wish to cancel the Friday night, this will not be possible.

Additional Child Policy Information:
Children over the age of 10 are welcome during the week. Children of any age are welcome at weekends. However, please note, cots and high chairs are not always available at the hotel.

Other Information:
For the comfort of all guests, Beaumont House follows a strict non-smoking policy throughout the premises. Guests who breach this policy will be charged a minimum of one extra night’s room rate.

Beaumont House - Guest accommodation - Cancellation policy

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years are charged GBP 15.00 per night and person for cots.
There is no capacity for extra beds in the room.
Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.

Deposit Policy: A fixed amount of GBP 20 per room will be charged on the day of booking and is refundable.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.
Service charge is included.
City/tourist tax is not applicable.

Internet: Wired internet is available in the hotel rooms and is free of charge.

Meal Plan: Full English breakfast is included in the room rate.

Parking: Free public parking is possible on site.

Pets: Pets are not allowed.


The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival.
