Turn right immediately after this towards 'Welwyn Shops', follow this road for a quarter of a mile and you will see The White Hart straight ahead. Drive through the central archway into our car park. From the A1(M) South bound: Exit at Junction 6 and take the third exit from the roundabout. As you go back under the motorway keep left, passing the fire station on your right, follow the road down and round the left hand bend, The White Hart is on your right as you approach the T-junction. The White Hart offers unrivalled accommodation and dining, with menus and wine list to delight the most discerning of tastes. The White Hart started life in the 17th century as a Coaching Inn; a rest stop and watering hole for travellers and horse teams alike. Situated in the old Roman settlement of Welwyn, it served as a halfway house on the Great North Road between London and Cambridge, a route also famous for its highwaymen. While the chances of being asked to stand and deliver have long gone, the offer of excellent food and drink and a comfortable room for a restful night's sleep still exist in abundance.

We do not operate a 24 hour front desk, check-in/access after midnight only by prior notice. Please let us know at time of reservation if you require a guest bed or child cot in your room.

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.
