The hotel building dates from 1903. 24 rooms were fully refurbished in early 2005. A seminar lounge and bar were added to the hotel complex in 2005.

Jardin des Vestiges (0.4 km) - many Greek and Roman relics were uncovered here in 1967.

Musee Des Dock Romains (0.6 km) - here you can learn about the history of the city's Roman docks.

Arrival by plane:
From Marignane Provence Airport take the shuttle coach to the St. Charles railway station. Departures every 20 minutes. Follow directions below.

Arrival by train:
Take the number 1 metro line from St. Charles station towards la Timone. Alight at Vieux Port (the 2nd stop). The hotel is just outside the metro station.

Arrival by road:
- When you approach Marseille follow the sea road signs towards Vieux Port.
- The Tonic Hotel is on the left-hand side, facing Notre Dame de la Garde.

There are 2 public car parks about 50 metres from the hotel.
