Nestling in the picturesque village of Clearwell, the Tudor Farmhouse Hotel provides an ideal setting for a relaxed and tranquil stay within the Royal Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley. The hotel, reputed to have been originally built in the 13th century, retains many original features including oak beams and wooden spiral staircases.
There are 20 well-appointed double, twin and family rooms, all with en-suite facilities and some with four poster beds or Jacuzzi corner baths. Our 2 AA Rosette candlelit restaurant is both intimate and comfortable with superb food from our a la carte menu.
Private parties can also be catered for and business guests can hold meetings in our function room for up to 25 guests.
With mature gardens and a terrace area to enjoy the country air and views, the hotel can also offer 14 acres of grounds to explore - deemed an area of Special Scientific Interest due to the rare and varied flora that can be found on the banks and rock outcrops.

Our award-winning (AA 2 Rosette) candlelit restaurant provides a relaxing and comfortable environment to enjoy a superb meal. We offer an excellent selection of dishes using ingredients sourced wherever possible from local suppliers, including produce from our own garden.
Special dietary requirements can normally be met and we offer a special menu for children. In good weather, guests can eat outside in the garden. Private parties are most welcome by prior arrangement and we recommend booking for all occasions to avoid disappointment.
We are open daily for lunch until 2pm and for afternoon tea until 5.00pm. We reopen at 7pm for dinner.

A friendly 13th-century stone-built hotel in the historic village of Clearwell, just 250 metres from Clearwell Castle, on the fringe of the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley. Pride is taken in the standard of comfort and hospitality. Original features include massive oak beams, original panelling, a large, roughstone inglenook fireplace in the attractive lounge and oak spiral staircase. There are landscaped gardens and 14 acres of fields. The 20 bedrooms have been refurbished in a traditional style.

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, a fixed amount of GBP 25.00 will be charged.
If cancelled later, the first night will be charged.
In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 5 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 5 years are charged GBP 5.00 per night and person for cots.
All children under 5 years are charged GBP 5.00 per night and person for extra beds.
All older children or adults are charged GBP 25.00 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
